The Fake Fireman Part 2 - Justice Has Been Served(?)

In true Los Angeles fashion, it took about one year to get a response from the city regarding my formal complaint that I filed against the Los Angeles Fire Department, specifically Station 9. If you recall, last summer I inadvertently began dating a psycho who liked to pretend he was a firefighter, and the fire department allowed it. What pissed me off even more was that I MET several firefighters from Station 9 that knew this nut job and let him hang around the station and go on calls. I met several of these guys, not once, but twice - including the captain of the station.

So once I found out that the psycho was not an actual firefighter, but was only a "groupie," I filed a formal complaint against the LAFD for allowing a mentally unstable man to impersonate an official.
I've been waiting about a year and I finally got a formal letter in the mail notifying me that my case was closed. Here's what they said:

"The Professional Standards Division has completed the investigation into your complaint. The case is now closed and appropriate administrative actions will be taken. The Fire Department maintains a zero tolerance policy towards retaliation. If you should experience any unusual incidents, which you believe to be related to your filing a complaint, please immediately contact the Professional Standards Division. Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention (and not suing us- jk I added that). The LAFD takes pride in providing the most professional and complete emergency service to citizens such as you. It is our goal to treat every customer in every circumstance with respect and courtesy."

Here is how I translate this letter:

"We're going to tell you we took action, but most likely nothing happened and nobody got in trouble or fired, but we'll let you think they did so you don't sue us. If your home is ever on fire someday the fire department should come and assist, but if they don't please let us know. Thanks"

Case closed. Now I need to go out with an ACTUAL firefighter just to check it off my dating bucket list, but I am sure I'm on a blacklist now. Oh well.
